5 Reasons Why I Love Hilton Head Plantation

dolphinMy husband Tony and I have lived in Hilton Head Plantation for over 12 years, and it’s no secret that we absolutely love it here. Instead of just telling you “I love it,” below I have listed out five reasons why it is an amazing place to live.

1. Beautiful scenery – stroll along Pine Island beach at Dolphin Head and you’ll know.

2. World-class amenities and recreation – I love participating in the water aerobic classes several times a week!

3. Fantastic dining options – my favorite place to eat is Old Fort Pub.

4. A beautiful golf course – my husband loves to play here with his friends regularly.

5. Our neighbors – they are everybody from young families just starting out to seasoned retirees enjoying the good life…and everyone in between.

We know the community as well as anybody, and with 35 years of real estate experience, we know a great opportunity when we see one. If you are interested in buying in Hilton Head Plantation we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the area, simply call us on 843-301-5825. Indigo Run

This week we would love to tell you a little about a gated residential community named Indigo Run. The community is located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, and is the last residential community to be developed on the Island. There are approximately 820 homes situated across 1,400 scenic acres.

What makes Indigo Run so desirable? Simply put, there is something for everyone. Residents have quick access to shopping, schools, entertainment and medical services. There is the Golden Bear, The Golf Club, The River Club, Broad Pointe, and Berwick Green. Residents have a variety of lifestyles and views from their home, including deep water, golf, and lagoon, to wooded homesites.

Here is a little more detail for you:

– The Golden Bear is named after the first collaborative Nicklaus/Nicklaus, father/s on golf course. It encompasses Sunningdale Park with its pool and pool house, playground and tennis courts (clay and hard, some lighted).

– Indigo Run residents have use of the Indigo Hall Community Club for various functions. The golf course is open to the public.

– Berwick Green is a town home community within the Golden Bear. The Golf Club is a separate gated, private golf club community within Indigo Run, with its own Fitness Center and Clubhouse.

– The River Club and Broad Pointe are located out the back gate of Indigo Run off Marshland Rd. and boast many deep-water home sites, some with their own private docks. Each area has its own pool facility and tennis courts for their residents.

Now, if these quick facts pike your interest and you think it all sounds pretty good, feel free to contact us for more information or a private tour. Alternatively, you can search current properties for sale here.

Sea Pines Plantation

Sea Pines was the original planned development on Hilton Head Island, and became the model for those that followed. Charles Fraser founded the “Grandfather” of Island-Plantations in 1956. For most the candy striped lighthouse in Harbour Town has come to symbolize Hilton Head Island. Sea Pines Resort has won several awards, which you can view here.

Sea Pines Plantation is set on 5,200 naturally beautiful acres and is located on the southern end of Hilton Head Island. Almost 1300 of these acres are devoted to parks, forest preserves, lagoons and marshlands. Sea Pines is also home to the Heritage, a popular tournament on the PGA tour.

We recently were informed of several exciting pieces of news about the plantation, including:

– The new clubhouse at Plantation Golf Club is now open (read more here).

– The Sea Pines Beach Club is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day. See a virtual tour here.

– The Harbour Town Golf Links Clubhouse & Conference Center is under construction and expected to be completed prior to 2015 RBC Heritage Golf Tournament.
